Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy-duty refuse trucks and sanitation equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collect and transport residential and commercial waste, recyclables, and yard debris.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of work vehicles and service areas.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and municipal safety protocols.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Class C Driver's License (CDL preferred but not always mandatory).
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads and operating machinery.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
