Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery for public works projects
- Perform routine inspections of roads, sewers, and drainage systems
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during extreme weather
- Coordinate with engineering teams on municipal improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Support community outreach initiatives for public infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid Class C Nevada driver's license
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
