Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks
- Conduct field inspections of municipal infrastructure
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Tennessee Class B Commercial Driver's License
- 2+ years of experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
