Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators and graders with precision
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs within 24-hour response window
- Conduct field inspections and document maintenance activities using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Train junior technicians on equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical examination
