Responsibilities
- Architect quantum algorithms and error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists in quantum hardware development
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research budgets through NSF and DoD grant applications
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world commercial applications
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent at least 2 novel quantum methodologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum error correction, topological qubits, and quantum annealing
- Proven track record of securing $3M+ in government research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes R&D environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate quantum theory into commercial IP (5+ patents)
