Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 100+ qubit scale
- Develop error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with NASA/JPL on quantum-resistant cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (2020-2023)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Patent portfolio in quantum algorithms or hardware design
