Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, documents, and digital archives with precision and confidentiality
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to department heads and elected officials
- Coordinate public meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain official meeting minutes
- Process and track permits, licenses, and citizen requests through municipal systems
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement documentation, and financial reporting
- Serve as primary liaison for public inquiries regarding city services and regulations
- Ensure compliance with open records laws and municipal governance policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for public-facing interactions
- Knowledge of Texas municipal codes and local government operations preferred
