Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely during construction and repair projects
- Collaborate with remote engineering teams to implement project plans and resolve technical issues
- Document work progress and submit digital reports using our remote management system
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and local municipal regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during natural disasters or infrastructure failures
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools and materials through digital tracking systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of public works or construction experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with digital reporting tools and remote collaboration software
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and technical schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety protocols
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
