Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, graders) with proper safety protocols
- Conduct inspections and repairs of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Document work progress and submit digital reports via remote portal
- Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize daily project assignments
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment usage, and labor hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Maryland Class C driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic proficiency with digital reporting tools (mobile apps, cloud platforms)
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
