Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security protocols to protect federal information systems against cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze logs to identify and mitigate potential security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as FISMA, NIST, and HIPAA.
- Provide technical support and training to internal staff on cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop incident response plans.
- Document all security configurations, incidents, and remediation efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote environment.
