As part of the Registry of Motor Vehicles team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for thousands of residents. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to process critical documentation and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Process vehicle registration renewals, license plate transactions, and title transfers with 99.9% accuracy.
- Assist customers with technical troubleshooting for RMV kiosks and computer terminals.
- Verify driver’s licenses and identity documents against federal and state databases.
- Manage financial transactions, including cash, credit, and check payments, ensuring strict adherence to cash handling protocols.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when resolving complex customer inquiries and complaints.
- Collaborate with the shift lead to optimize queue flow and reduce wait times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or public sector is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer navigation.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required by the department.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Must successfully pass a background investigation and pre-employment screening.
