Responsibilities
- Collect residential and commercial trash/recycling on assigned routes using automated trucks
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and operate mechanical equipment safely
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for hazardous materials handling
- Provide courteous service to residents and resolve collection issues
- Support emergency storm debris removal operations
- Maintain accurate service logs and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (CDL Class B preferred but not required)
- Ability to pass physical fitness assessment including lifting/carrying
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship or legal work authorization
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including early mornings/weekends
- Background check and drug screen clearance
- Basic mechanical aptitude
