Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, graders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during storm events
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain equipment compliance records
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Implement sustainable practices in urban maintenance operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to obtain CDL endorsement within 6 months
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Spanish bilingual skills preferred
