Responsibilities
- Collect and transport residential, commercial, and industrial refuse, trash, and recyclables along designated routes.
- Operate heavy-duty refuse trucks, compactors, and sanitation equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Perform snow removal and ice control duties during winter storms to ensure public safety.
- Inspect collection vehicles and routes for mechanical issues and report necessary maintenance.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of waste containers and debris.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License is required.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and background check.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and varying shift schedules.
