Responsibilities
- Analyze and recommend annual budget allocations across 15+ city departments
- Develop financial models to forecast revenue and expenditure trends
- Prepare comprehensive budget reports for City Council and public hearings
- Implement performance-based budgeting initiatives
- Coordinate with department heads to align strategic goals with fiscal resources
- Ensure compliance with state/federal grant requirements
- Lead process improvements for budgeting software systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of government or municipal budgeting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, and budget software
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with multi-million dollar budgets
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of Missouri municipal finance laws
