Responsibilities
- Analyze departmental budget requests and recommend fiscal adjustments
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for city council and mayor's office
- Monitor expenditure compliance with federal/state grant requirements
- Develop multi-year financial models and forecasting projections
- Collaborate with agency heads to optimize resource allocation
- Present budget recommendations to public officials and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of government or municipal budget experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (SAP preferred)
- Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
- Experience with grant-funded programs and compliance
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred
