Responsibilities
- Manage and certify all official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions with absolute precision
- Oversee the City Clerk's official website and digital records management system
- Administer oaths of office for public officials and commissioners
- Coordinate with the Board of Supervisors on legislative processes and documentation
- Lead voter education initiatives and manage municipal election records
- Implement records retention policies compliant with state and federal regulations
- Supervise Clerk's Office staff and develop training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal government records management
- California Municipal Clerk certification required
- Expertise in digital records systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of California Elections Code and Brown Act
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
