Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records management, including minutes, ordinances, and public documents
- Manage municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Provide legislative support to the City Council, including agenda preparation and meeting coordination
- Administer public records requests ensuring compliance with California Public Records Act
- Lead city clerk department operations, budgeting, and staff development
- Facilitate public access to government information and civic participation programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal government or public records management
- California Municipal Clerk certification or eligibility
- Expert knowledge of California election laws and public records regulations
- Advanced proficiency with municipal record-keeping systems and document management software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
