Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure for federal clients.
- Ensure compliance with rigorous security standards, including FedRAMP, DIACAP, and NIST.
- Oversee cloud migration strategies and modernization initiatives for legacy systems.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide expert consultation on best practices for cloud governance.
- Mentor junior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or DevOps.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Deep knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and service providers.
- Experience working within the Federal Government or defense contracting sector.
