Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for neighborhood revitalization initiatives in designated NYC communities
- Develop and manage affordable housing and economic development grant applications
- Coordinate inter-agency partnerships with city departments and community organizations
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and demographic analysis for program development
- Oversee project budgets exceeding $2M and ensure compliance with municipal regulations
- Design and implement public engagement strategies for community feedback integration
- Prepare detailed progress reports and policy recommendations for County leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in community development or municipal government
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal/state funding programs (e.g., CDBG, HOME)
- Advanced knowledge of NYC zoning laws and land use regulations
- Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-sector collaboration skills
- Experience managing complex budgets and multi-year projects
- NYC residency required within 90 days of hire
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin preferred
