Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive urban planning strategies aligned with Miami-Dade's 2050 Vision
- Lead zoning code revisions and land-use policy development
- Coordinate with state agencies on transportation infrastructure projects
- Analyze demographic and economic data for sustainable growth planning
- Manage public consultation processes and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance reports
- Oversee capital improvement projects worth $50M+
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal government planning
- Florida AICP certification required
- Expertise in GIS mapping and urban analytics software
- Proven track record with community engagement initiatives
- Strong understanding of South Florida environmental regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
