Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive land use plans and zoning regulations for unincorporated Clark County
- Review and evaluate development proposals for compliance with county codes and environmental standards
- Lead public hearings and community outreach initiatives to gather stakeholder input
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners
- Coordinate with state agencies and neighboring jurisdictions on regional planning initiatives
- Monitor legislative changes and update county policies accordingly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal or county planning with zoning expertise
- Professional Planner (AICP) certification preferred
- Proficiency in GIS software and urban planning analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of Nevada Revised Statutes and Clark County codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
