Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive land use plans and zoning regulations aligned with city strategic goals
- Lead public engagement initiatives and community outreach programs for major development projects
- Analyze development proposals for compliance with municipal codes and environmental standards
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for city council and planning commission
- Collaborate with transportation and parks departments on integrated infrastructure planning
- Manage long-range planning initiatives including climate resilience and affordable housing strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive planning experience in municipal government
- Valid AICP certification preferred
- Expertise in GIS mapping and spatial analysis software
- Demonstrated success in facilitating public meetings and community workshops
- Strong knowledge of Colorado state planning regulations and local government processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
