Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Lead incident response for state-level cyber emergencies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments across 50+ state agencies
- Develop zero-trust architecture frameworks for critical systems
- Mentor junior analysts and build security awareness programs
- Collaborate with FBI/DHS on threat intelligence initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Texas cybersecurity statutes
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ in government/federal systems
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in NIST frameworks and CIS benchmarks
- Experience with AWS/Azure security services
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain immediately
- Strong Python/PowerShell scripting skills
