Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud systems
- Develop and implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical leadership for cross-functional IT projects
- Coordinate with federal agencies on technology integration initiatives
- Conduct system performance analysis and recommend improvements
- Mentor junior IT staff and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Document IT processes and create technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with federal systems
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and federal IT security standards
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., ITIL, Agile)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
