Responsibilities
- Monitor Operations: Continuously monitor federal communication systems and data feeds during the night shift to ensure 24/7 operational readiness and data integrity.
- Incident Management: Investigate, triage, and resolve technical tickets and incidents reported by government personnel with high urgency and minimal supervision.
- Maintenance & Compliance: Perform routine system backups, security patching, and maintenance checks after hours to adhere to strict federal IT governance standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all operational activities, system changes, and incidents in compliance with federal reporting requirements.
- Handover & Coordination: Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over critical issues, ensuring seamless service continuity across shifts.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze system performance metrics during off-peak hours to identify trends and optimize workflows.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required for all Federal government roles.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration within a government or regulated environment.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (2nd or 3rd shift) consistently.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ITIL practices, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote communication tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
