Responsibilities
- Lead incident response coordination for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on state systems
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide security policies and frameworks
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and prioritize threat mitigation
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Manage security compliance for NIST, FISMA, and DC-specific regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required
- 5+ years of enterprise cybersecurity experience
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Proven track record of incident response leadership
- Knowledge of DC government IT infrastructure preferred
