Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats across state networks using SIEM platforms
- Lead incident response for cybersecurity breaches and coordinate with federal partners
- Develop and implement advanced security protocols for cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on state systems
- Train state employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in incident response
- Active CISSP or CEH certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- TS/SCI clearance preferred (ability to obtain required)
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53 framework
- Strong analytical skills with ability to document complex security incidents
