Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans on federal networks to ensure compliance with NIST and DOD standards.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time to minimize downtime and data exposure.
- Conduct regular security training sessions for federal staff and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and risk registers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and protocols.
- Assist in the remediation of identified security vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
