Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity threat detection, analysis, and incident response for federal systems
- Develop and implement security protocols aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to coordinate cyber defense initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive security reports and brief senior leadership on emerging threats
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and policy compliance
- Manage security tools including SIEM platforms, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks
- Proficiency with incident response protocols and threat intelligence platforms
- Knowledge of federal IT security policies (FISMA, NIST, CUI)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
