Responsibilities
- Process complex driver license, vehicle registration, and ID applications with 99% accuracy
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding DMV regulations, fees, and documentation requirements
- Utilize specialized software to verify eligibility, conduct background checks, and process transactions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personal information while adhering to HIPAA/DPA standards
- Train and mentor junior staff on DMV procedures and customer service excellence
- Generate monthly performance reports and identify process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of direct DMV or government customer service experience
- Proficient in CA DMV systems (DLX, STAR, FAST) and third-party verification tools
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills with proven ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (highly preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays during peak seasons
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field (required)
