Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive facility inspections and compliance audits for industrial and municipal entities
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for regulatory violations
- Provide technical guidance on air quality, water management, and hazardous waste regulations
- Coordinate with legal teams for enforcement proceedings and permit modifications
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports and maintain compliance documentation
- Train facility personnel on environmental compliance protocols
- Represent the agency in stakeholder meetings and public hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience in environmental protection
- Valid Texas Environmental Inspector certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Advanced knowledge of TCEQ regulations (Title 30 TAC)
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills using GIS and database systems
- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred
