Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive regulatory inspections and audits of industrial facilities for air, water, and waste compliance
- Develop and implement facility-specific compliance action plans with measurable environmental performance metrics
- Lead complex enforcement proceedings including violation notices and penalty assessments
- Analyze environmental data trends using GIS mapping and statistical modeling tools
- Coordinate interagency responses to environmental incidents and natural disasters
- Maintain compliance databases and generate executive performance reports
- Mentor junior staff on regulatory interpretation and enforcement protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance experience in industrial or regulatory settings
- Texas Environmental Compliance Inspector certification required
- Advanced proficiency in EPA ECHO data systems and regulatory reporting software
- Demonstrated knowledge of TCEQ rules, federal EPA regulations, and ISO 14001 standards
- Strong analytical skills with experience in environmental data interpretation
- Excellent written communication abilities for technical reports and enforcement documentation
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
