Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based environmental policies addressing air quality, water conservation, and climate adaptation
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend regulatory modifications to state agencies
- Coordinate with tribal governments, municipalities, and private sector partners
- Lead public engagement sessions and prepare comprehensive policy reports
- Mentor junior analysts and manage cross-functional project teams
- Track emerging environmental technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years experience in environmental policy analysis or regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Python, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and public communication
- Knowledge of Washington State environmental regulations (RCW, WAC)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance (EPA, NOAA)
