Responsibilities
- Lead environmental impact assessments for major county projects
- Ensure compliance with CEQA, NEPA, and local regulations
- Develop sustainable land use policies and climate action plans
- Coordinate with state/federal agencies and stakeholder groups
- Manage environmental review timelines and budgets
- Mentor junior planning staff and interns
- Present findings to Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive environmental planning experience
- CEQA/NEPA documentation expertise
- Strong GIS mapping and spatial analysis skills
- California driver's license with clean record
- Experience with public hearings and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of Central Valley environmental challenges
- PMP or AICP certification preferred
