Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for state legislators
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement strategic initiatives
- Present findings to high-stake stakeholders including cabinet-level officials
- Monitor policy outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
- Mentor junior analysts and lead interdepartmental task forces
- Ensure compliance with Texas Administrative Code and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sectors
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement and public consultation
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Certification in Policy Analysis (PPA or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with Texas legislative processes essential
