Responsibilities
- Lead environmental compliance audits for industrial facilities in Pueblo and El Paso counties
- Develop and implement watershed protection plans for the Arkansas River Basin
- Coordinate with federal EPA and local governments on Superfund site remediation
- Train municipal staff on new air quality monitoring protocols
- Prepare technical reports for legislative environmental policy updates
- Manage grant-funded environmental justice initiatives
- Respond to environmental emergencies and hazardous material incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field
- 5+ years regulatory compliance experience
- Colorado DEQ or EPA certification preferred
- Advanced GIS and data visualization skills
- Strong familiarity with CERCLA and RCRA regulations
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Experience with public sector procurement processes
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance for sensitive projects
