Responsibilities
- Implement and Manage Security Protocols: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and frameworks.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments and risk management analyses to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Incident Response & Analysis: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal impact to operations.
- Compliance Audits: Support internal and external audits (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST) by preparing documentation and demonstrating adherence to security policies.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security controls into network and system architectures.
- Threat Intelligence: Monitor threat landscapes and analyze indicators of compromise to proactively defend against cyber-attacks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, or similar DoD-approved certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) or Secret security clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and vulnerability scanners.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
