Role Overview:
As a Federal Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support agency objectives. You will ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with federal regulations while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies for federal reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar visualization software.
- Ensure all data processes adhere to federal compliance standards, security protocols, and privacy regulations (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to define data requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Perform data cleansing, integration, and validation to ensure high-quality outputs for decision-makers.
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations to communicate findings to senior leadership and government officials.
- Support the planning and execution of data migration projects and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and extracting data (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data modeling and warehouse architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
