Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify security trends and patterns
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with CBP and ICE field units to validate data integrity and analytical findings
- Present actionable insights through concise reports and stakeholder briefings
- Maintain documentation of analytical methodologies and data processing workflows
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests during critical border security operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience with federal or government data analysis
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Familiarity with border security databases (e.g., TEA, SEVIS, CBP systems)
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and ethical handling of sensitive information
- Experience creating executive-level data visualizations and reports
- Certification in data security (e.g., CISSP, CIPP) highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
