The Role
As a Federal Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large-scale government datasets. You will ensure data integrity, compliance with federal regulations, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze complex federal datasets to support mission objectives and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidelines regarding data privacy and security.
- Design and develop interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or SAS.
- Prepare detailed reports and briefings for government stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps and implement process improvements.
- Conduct audits and quality assurance checks on data pipelines to maintain high accuracy standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or government contracting sector.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages for data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA), and federal reporting standards.
