What You'll Do:
As a Senior Federal IT Specialist, you will serve as the technical lead for various IT initiatives, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and network security in accordance with federal standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain complex federal IT networks and server environments.
- Implement and enforce rigorous security protocols to ensure FISMA and NIST compliance.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support to federal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy infrastructure and improve system efficiency.
- Document technical processes and maintain detailed incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNP preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT system administration or network engineering.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- Deep understanding of federal regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
