Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of large-scale federal and state IT projects, ensuring alignment with FISMA and agency objectives.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate cutting-edge cloud technologies.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices for secure coding and system integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system diagrams and architectural standards.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local procurement and cybersecurity regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in systems architecture, IT consulting, or federal government IT operations.
- Strong understanding of FISMA compliance, NIST standards, and cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects from conception through deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification such as CISSP, PMP, or TOGAF is highly desirable.
