Responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot complex federal network infrastructures, including Windows Server, Linux, and Cisco environments.
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards, FISMA, and NIST guidelines to maintain system accreditation.
- Provide expert-level technical support and remote troubleshooting for federal users across multiple locations.
- Document system configurations, security protocols, and incident reports in accordance with strict federal record-keeping requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software patches, updates, and security enhancements.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or ITIL v3/v4 are highly preferred.
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Secret security clearance is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or similar high-security sectors.
- Strong proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
