About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and federal mission requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of government systems, working closely with program managers and security teams to maintain the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain federal information systems in strict compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and risk management activities to protect sensitive data.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and Level 3 support for complex network, hardware, and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation and modernization initiatives within the federal agency.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, compliance reports, and system architecture diagrams for auditors and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts and participate in code reviews and architecture planning sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal or state government IT environments.
- Active Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, FedRAMP requirements, and federal acquisition regulations.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or SQL, with hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
