Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, configuration, and maintenance of server infrastructure and network environments.
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance monitoring to ensure high availability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and modernize IT operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management or systems administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
