Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex federal IT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure full compliance with Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and agency-specific security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and government stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Conduct rigorous testing, quality assurance, and risk assessments to mitigate potential system vulnerabilities.
- Oversee the integration of third-party systems and software solutions into the federal environment.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation through closure, adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in federal systems engineering, software development, or IT infrastructure management.
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale federal contracts and adhering to DoD or GSA guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
