Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on local government policies, regulations, and operational procedures to support decision-making.
- Prepare complex reports, memos, and presentations for city management and elected officials.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
- Assist in the development and administration of government grants and funding initiatives.
- Monitor legislative changes at the state and federal levels and assess their impact on city operations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government administration, policy analysis, or a related public sector role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and GIS software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Valid California driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required.
