Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of municipal infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with city goals and budget constraints.
- Analyze complex data and regulatory requirements to provide strategic recommendations to city management and the Board of Supervisors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, planners, and community stakeholders, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in government or public sector project management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government project management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.
