Responsibilities
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot server infrastructure and network systems during designated night shift hours.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Perform scheduled system backups, patch management, and updates to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Respond to and resolve critical IT incidents and service tickets with minimal supervision.
- Conduct regular audits and compliance checks to adhere to state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with day shift teams to ensure seamless handover of system status and critical alerts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in IT systems administration, network support, or cybersecurity.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote/off-hours environment.
- Experience with government or public sector IT systems is a plus.
